In order to make the parking space flow faster, a new standard charging trial was implemented

With the increase in parking fees, has it been difficult to ease parking in some hospitals in Kunming?

News from our newspaper (Reporter Huang Yu) 4 key hospitals in Kunming are piloting new parking fees. By raising prices, parking spaces can flow faster, allowing patients to be "positioned" and reducing the waiting time for patients to park.

However, since May 20, half a year after the trial, has it been difficult to get a doctor and parking?

A reporter from the Workers’ Daily conducted an investigation recently.

"I accompanied my father to the Kunming No. 1 People's Hospital for a physical examination. I arrived at 8 am and left at 4 pm. The parking fee was 75 yuan, which is too expensive!" Kunming citizen Mr. Li complained.

Kunming First People's Hospital is one of the pilot hospitals.

Before the pilot, the parking fee of the hospital was 4 yuan per hour, and 2 yuan for every additional hour from 8 am to 20 am every day; 1 yuan for every additional hour from 20 am to 8 am the next day.

According to this calculation, the accumulated charge for 24 hours is up to 38 yuan.

After the pilot, the parking fee of the hospital is divided into 3 periods. Every day from 7 am to 16:00, all models are charged at 5 yuan per half hour; from 16:00 to 20 am, the first half hour is charged at 3 yuan, and after half an hour, every hour The fee is 3 yuan; from 20:00 to 7:00 the next day, the first hour is 2 yuan, and the fee is 1 yuan per hour after the first hour.

According to this calculation, if you park in the hospital during normal working hours, that is, from 7 am to 16 pm, you will have to pay a maximum of 90 yuan.

If you park for 24 hours, you will pay a maximum of 115.5 yuan, which is more than three times the amount before the pilot.

However, all vehicles entering the hospital for less than half an hour (including half an hour) are free of parking fees.

The reporter observes at the entrance of the hospital for more than an hour, and rarely sees vehicles that leave the hospital within half an hour. Many car owners have to pay 20 to 40 yuan.

Many car owners complained to the guard post about the high parking fees.

"When I drove into the hospital, I drove around in the hospital many times and looked back and forth for more than 20 minutes. I couldn't find a parking space. The parking problem still existed. I finally parked the car. After I registered the number, I queued for nearly two hours. It only takes a few minutes for the doctor to see a doctor, and he has to pay 25 yuan for the parking fee. It’s too unreasonable, and it adds to the patient’s burden.” said Mr. Xu, a citizen who parked for treatment at a pilot hospital.

It is understood that some hospitals had lower parking fees than the surrounding parking lots before the trial. Some shopping citizens would park their cars in the hospitals and then go shopping.

This occupies the parking space of the hospital, causing some patients' cars to be unable to enter the hospital.

During the interview, some citizens also expressed support for giving parking spaces to patients who really need them, but they can learn from the experience of other places and try more methods.

Regarding the pilot parking fee increase in 4 key hospitals, a person from the Kunming Development and Reform Commission stated that for some time, parking contradictions in some hospitals in the main urban area of Kunming have become increasingly prominent, and patients often need to wait in line for a long time to drive into the hospital during peak hours. , Delay the opportunity to see a doctor.

The roads around the hospital are also congested due to the queues of medical vehicles, which seriously affects the normal travel of citizens.

In order to alleviate the difficulty of parking in key hospitals in the main urban area, facilitate timely treatment of patients, and promote traffic management around the hospital, Kunming has implemented comprehensive policies and formulated an action plan for comprehensive management of roads around the hospital. The implementation of new standards for parking fees is one of the measures.
