All it took was one photo to ignite everything.

Yououtuber Léna Situations, 24, deleted her Twitter account on Thursday, on which she was followed by more than a million Internet users, after suffering a wave of cyberstalking.

It was the publication on Wednesday of photographs of her sporting her natural curly hair that sparked a flood of hateful comments.

Her real name Léna Mahfouf, the content creator who multiplies partnerships with important brands (Dior, Disney, Adidas, Balmain…) justified her withdrawal from Twitter by her weariness of being targeted by torrents of negative comments.

"It's debates about my relationship, my physique, my curly hair, my financial situation, the neckline of my dresses ... Or just the fact that I'm a girl, let's be honest," she denounces in a story on Instagram.

Control the negative impact

"It destroys my personal confidence little by little," says one who is followed by 3.4 million subscribers on Instagram.

“I can't control what people say about me.

On the other hand, I can control the impact it has on me, ”points out the influencer.

At the end of November, she had already shared on Instagram some of the violent tweets which targeted her: "the real problem is the hatred and the violence of the remarks vis-a-vis such unimportant subjects", she declared.

She also recalled that some Internet users had gone so far as to travel to "[his] mother's home" to "insult" her.

Web

"When we decided to do this job, it was not to bring a political voice," says Léna Situations.
