Life as an artist - where long periods are spent in a quiet studio - actually suits Alba August better than life as an actor, she says in the cultural program Sweden !. 

- There is no one who comes forward and puts on make-up, or demands that you play different emotions all the time.

I get a lot of space, she says. 

But despite that, and despite her previous habit of the spotlight, she is "terrified" of being on stage and performing the music.
