The Public Relations and Media Sector of the Egyptian Ministry of the Interior published a video of no more than a minute long, recording the moment of the rescue of a young man who tried to commit suicide in Giza Governorate, south of Cairo.

A security source said that the young man was standing on the iron of the air-conditioning installed on the balcony of his house, for about 5 hours, before the forces were able to control him.

The source indicated that the rescue operation involved 4 police brigades, 20 officers and a number of security personnel, in addition to civil protection and rescue personnel at the Ministry of Interior.

The young man had threatened to commit suicide by jumping from the balcony of his residence on the seventh floor, without knowing one of the motives that led him to do so, amid a state of astonishment and screaming of the people of the area.

According to "Masrawy", the families informed the security services, which immediately moved and imposed a security cordon around the house... amid attempts to persuade the young man through a megaphone to reverse his decision to commit suicide.

The forces placed a huge balloon under the property to preserve the life of the young man if he jumped from the balcony of his residence in the street, while a force of policemen climbed to the apartment where the young man lived, and were able to enter and save his life, before jumping into the street.
