The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced that the "Hong Kong Health Code" ("Hong Kong Health Code") system was officially opened at 9 am on December 10, and the "Travel with Peace" mobile application will also be updated to version 3.0.

Hong Kong citizens can register on the "Healthcode" website www.healthcode.gov.hk for real-name registration to apply for a registered account.

After successfully opening an account, users can upload travel records to the "Gangkang Code" system through the "Travel with peace of mind" mobile app version 3.0, and then log in to the "Gangkang Code" website to obtain the "Gangkang Code".

"Gangkang Code" adopts real-name registration. Applicants need to fill in personal information such as name, identification document number and date of issuance, contact telephone number, residential address, etc., and upload proof of residential address in Hong Kong for verification.

After successfully activating the account, the user can upload the travel records of the past 31 days in the mobile phone program to the "Gangkang Code" system through the new features in version 3.0 of the "Travel with peace of mind" mobile application.

The update program will not affect the travel records that have been stored in the user's mobile phone program in the past, and these records will also be uploaded to the "Gangkang Code" system.

The "Gangkang Code" is divided into three types: red code, yellow code and green code. The standard for judging colors is connected with the "Yuekang Code" of Guangdong Province.

People who are diagnosed, suspected of being diagnosed, close contacts, close contacts of household contacts, people who have been diagnosed and recovered but have been discharged from the hospital for less than 14 days, are undergoing compulsory quarantine, and those who have reported that they have had a medical condition in the past 14 days will receive red Code; people who have visited or lived in high-risk locations in the past 21 days (including declared residential address and travel records uploaded by "Travel with Peace"), or entered Hong Kong less than 21 days after arrival, including those who have completed compulsory quarantine or are exempt from compulsory quarantine People entering Hong Kong (except those entering Hong Kong from the Mainland or Macau via "Easy Return to Hong Kong" or "Easy to Hong Kong") will be issued a yellow code; the rest will be issued a green code.

All "Gangkang Codes" are valid from the day of application to 11:59 that night.

The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government stated that the "Hong Kong Health Code" is for the purpose of customs clearance in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. The government has opened the "Hong Kong Health Code" system in advance so that citizens can try out and familiarize themselves with the functions of the "Hong Kong Health Code" as soon as possible. It can operate smoothly during formal customs clearance.

The order of applying for the registration of "Gangkang Code" accounts has nothing to do with the future customs clearance quota. The public does not need to rush to apply.

If citizens do not plan to pass the customs, they can decide for themselves whether to apply for the "Hong Kong Health Code" and update the "Travel with peace of mind" mobile application to the latest version.
