On the 10th, police arrested the driver of a large trailer who had the first rear-end collision on a national road in Komaki City, Aichi Prefecture, on suspicion of negligent driving injury, and are investigating the detailed situation.

Around 8:40 am on the 10th, an accident involving 24 cars occurred on National Highway 41 in Motomachi, Komaki City, including a large trailer colliding with a car in front, and 12 people were slightly injured.



The site is a straight road with good visibility with three lanes on each side, about 2 km west of Komaki Station on the Meitetsu-Komaki Line, and according to police, a large trailer plunged into a traffic jam at that time.



Police arrested Katsuya Nomura, a 54-year-old driver in Minato-ku, Nagoya, who was driving a large trailer, on the night of the 10th on suspicion of negligent driving injuries.



Nomura admitted to the police investigation that he was in the process of transporting medicines from Tobishima Village, Aichi Prefecture, to Komaki City.



Police are investigating the cause and details of the accident.
