The Egyptian judiciary punishes Tarek El-Shennawy after insulting Moez Masoud and Hala Shiha

The Court of Misdemeanour, the third of October, issued a ruling against Tariq Al-Shennawi, the art critic, and Raghida Shalhoub, anchor of the “Nass Al-Kalam” program, with a judicial fine and obligated them to pay 100,000 pounds as initial and temporary compensation to Moez Masoud and Hala Shiha on charges of insulting them and defaming them in Case No. 5444 of 2021 October misdemeanour.

Moez Masoud had written on his Twitter account, saying: I deliberately offended my person and the people of my house a lot, and now you have exceeded the limits of your specialization as usual and have violated my personal life, and you have offended me and my wife and her family. A deterrent to anyone who intrudes himself in people's personal lives.

Moez Masoud's lawyer had filed a direct misdemeanor against Tariq Al-Shennawi, the art critic, and Raghida Shalhoub, the announcer of the Nash Al-Kalam program, accusing them of insulting and slandering him and his wife, Hala Shiha, in statements on the program, and the necessary legal measures were taken regarding the incident.

Al-Shennawy said, during the television interview, that raising Hala has something wrong, which was evident in the contradictions that have appeared in her personality during the recent period, adding that Hala Shiha's father's education for his daughters was lacking, so she needs a rehabilitation period after her return to art again.
