Reader Hashash defends himself after widespread controversy: My family is known all over the world

Al-Maqri’s friend Al-Hashash, the owner of the video, who was known to the media about the “Reader Al-Hashash” video, denied that it had been stopped or that any action had been taken against him, and “but there may be media confusion, because I use my family name, so my full name is Ibrahim Bassiouni Al-Hashash’s friend.”

Al-Hashash added to the “Cairo 24” website, “I use my name and my family’s surname in the publications, which is an honor for me, and not, as they claim, saying, “How do I keep a reciter and a Hashash?”

And Siddiq continued: The Syndicate of my wallet and Quran recitation told me today and gave me an appointment on the 18th of this December, and maybe they summoned me because of what was circulated in the media and social networking sites.

A friend commented on the union's decision, saying: The union's reaction is natural and it has the right to summon members for advice and guidance, and I may have been summoned for clarification, but I do not know the real reason.

Siddiq indicated that what happened was due to his family's nickname, "Al-Hashash", saying: The Al-Hashash family is a large and well-known family in all the villages and governorates of Egypt and also in the world, and it does not refer to anything corrupt.

A friend commented, "We are catching the fall and the shot, and it is better to take things on their origins, rather than controversy and take the matter for something unpleasant."

And he added: I said, “The junkie is not fayek,” and here I meant my name, not drug abuse, and my name had nothing to do with deviations.

A friend continued: I used my family name, and this is my legal and natural right.

He clarified: We should not take matters in the way of deviation, commenting on the decision to cancel his membership by saying: Is it me, when I use my name, that I committed a crime?

A friend of Ibrahim Al-Hashash sparked widespread controversy on social media after he posted a comment on one of the videos in which he recites verses from the Holy Quran during a funeral.

A friend re-published a video clip of him through his account on "Facebook", which reads: "The junkie when he is weak, you live with him the sweetest minutes, you remember the afterlife and fear its horror... Lord, grant me mercy from you."
