Reader Hashash defends himself after widespread controversy: My family is known all over the world
Al-Maqri’s friend Al-Hashash, the owner of the video, who was known to the media about the “Reader Al-Hashash” video, denied that it had been stopped or that any action had been taken against him, and “but there may be media confusion, because I use my family name, so my full name is Ibrahim Bassiouni Al-Hashash’s friend.”
Al-Hashash added to the “Cairo 24” website, “I use my name and my family’s surname in the publications, which is an honor for me, and not, as they claim, saying, “How do I keep a reciter and a Hashash?”

He clarified: We should not take matters in the way of deviation, commenting on the decision to cancel his membership by saying: Is it me, when I use my name, that I committed a crime?

A friend re-published a video clip of him through his account on "Facebook", which reads: "The junkie when he is weak, you live with him the sweetest minutes, you remember the afterlife and fear its horror... Lord, grant me mercy from you."
