On Tuesday evening, December 7, a group of Catholic fundamentalists blocked the entrance to a church in the French city of Nantes where Anna von Hausswolff was said to have played.

Hundreds of fans waited to enter, chaos broke out outside the church and the gig had to be canceled.

The reason for the blockade was that the fundamentalists believe that Anna von Hausswolff's music is satanic.

In her music she uses organs, gothic aesthetics, and in the song Pills she sings about "making love with the devil".

Canceled in Paris

Now it is clear that even today's gig in Paris is canceled.

The church Saint-Eustache where she would have played says that they see too great security risks in letting the concert take place on their premises, writes The Guardrian.

In an email to Kulturnyheterna, Anna von Hausswolff says that she is looking for alternative ways to carry out the concert on Thursday:

“The Catholic Church in Paris has canceled our concert, so right now the organizer is trying to find a Protestant church instead of a Catholic one.

We are set on doing the concert no matter what ", she writes.
