Before the New Year, a nursery school child used a brush to write next year's "Tora" on a large piece of paper in Kasugai City, Aichi Prefecture, which is known as the town of calligraphy.

Kasugai City is said to be the birthplace of Ono no Michikaze, a calligrapher who was active during the Heian period, and is making various efforts as a calligrapher's town.

On the 9th, about 50 older children of Kasugai Municipal Third Nursery School wrote "Tora" in hiragana next year on Japanese paper, which is larger than their own and is 1 meter and 30 centimeters long.

When the children were advised by a calligrapher in the city to write cheerfully while making a loud voice, "Pan!" I wrote a small and cute "Tora" character, and finally pressed a handprint to finish it.

The boys' kindergarten said, "I made the letters faint so that they look good. I want to be a first grader who is as fast as Tora next year."
