Nicoletta

celebrated her 50th birthday at the Lido.

But, it was in 1967 that this original Haut-Savoyarde - but which has always stretched its ears towards America - climbed without warning to the top of the bill.

"La Musique", taken up years later as the hymn of the first Star Academy program, "Il est mort le soleil", and a few years later "Mamy Blue", will install Nicoletta as a great voice of French-speaking song.

She is "the only white woman to have a black voice", said Ray Charles of this performer who helped popularize gospel in France.

Here she is back with an album of covers in piano-voice, more intimate acoustic versions of her greatest hits, accompanied by an unpublished signed Carla Bruni.

Amours et Pianos
