Among the 18 positive cases, 11 were close relatives and 7 were distant relatives or friends, all of which were related to a funeral.
At 0:30 on December 7th, Shangyu District of Shaoxing City found a 1:10 mixed positive sample in the nucleic acid test of the daily medical institution "should be checked".
After receiving the report, Shaoxing City and Shangyu District immediately initiated emergency response and implemented various epidemic prevention and control measures.
As of 21:00 on December 8, the current round of the epidemic in Shangyu District has detected 351 close contacts and 685 close contacts, all of which are in place.
Shaoxing City Health Commission Deputy Director Shao Guoli said at the press conference that there are currently 18 positive cases in the city. Except for the first case, the remaining positive cases have been found in close contacts that have been controlled.
The press conference reported that the first case was a medical staff member of the Shangpu Town Health Center in Shangyu District. He has not left Shangyu District since November 22 and has been carrying out nucleic acid tests in the hospital in accordance with regulations. It was negative until December 1.
From December 1st to 3rd, due to the death of his grandmother, he had contact with a cousin who had returned to the funeral of Yu Ben in Zhejiang Province. After his cousin returned to outside Zhejiang Province, he was diagnosed as a confirmed case of new coronary pneumonia locally on December 7.
After a comprehensive study and judgment, starting in the early morning of December 8, the epidemic prevention and control in Shangyu District was upgraded to Level I emergency response, and the temporary control area was expanded.
Except for epidemic prevention needs and people's livelihood protection, other types of enterprises in the temporary control zone temporarily suspend work; primary and secondary schools and kindergartens in Shangyu district are temporarily suspended.
At the same time, the local area carried out large-scale nucleic acid sampling and testing for personnel in the enclosed and controlled areas.
As of 21:00 on December 8, Shangyu District has carried out a total of 295,706 nucleic acid tests, and 103,995 results have been obtained.
