Policeman kills 6 people, then commits suicide in Kenya
A Nairobi policeman shot six people, including his wife, before taking his own life early Tuesday.
According to the police, the security forces realized that something was wrong after a loud sound was heard in the policeman's apartment, followed by the sound of gunfire.
It is believed that the policeman, who was armed with an AK-47, first shot his wife before randomly targeting passers-by in his area of the Kenyan capital.
The motive behind the accident was not immediately clear.
Shortly after the shooting, people gathered to protest and demand compensation for the victims' relatives.
Demonstrations quickly turned violent, with rioters burning tires and blocking a major highway before police could disperse them.
