At fifteen, he had already known slavery in Libya, the crossing of the Mediterranean, the street in France… Today, Sow is twenty years old and works as a boilermaker in CDI: “It's metal, welding. We make doors, windows, lots of things. The young man was already doing this job in Guinea, his country of origin. Orphaned, he could not go to school and had to work. It was his brother who pushed him to come to France, to hope for a better life. But when he arrived in Libya, he was shot and Sow was sent to prison, from which he would only come out to work for the benefit of the prison guard: “All Libyans considered us as commodities. "

Sow manages to escape by gaining the trust of his tormentors.

He joins friends and crosses the Mediterranean on an inflatable boat: “You see yourself dead.

The boat you are sitting on is made of plastic, and could get pierced at any time.

After being recognized as a minor and granted asylum in France, he went to high school, supported by his adopted father.

Today, Sow runs two associations for the benefit of orphans and access to education in addition to his work.
