At Hakata Port in Fukuoka City, a cargo ship that had collided with a breakwater and was on board was removed.

At Hakata Port in Fukuoka City, on the night of the 28th of last month, a Panama-registered cargo ship "Lady Rosemary" (9576 tons) collided with the breakwater of the port immediately after departure and boarded as it was.

Due to this effect, heavy fuel oil spilled from the cracks in the bow, and at times, a film of oil drifted in a range of about 12 km in length and about 2 km in width, centering on the north side of the accident site. On the day, the recovery work of heavy oil remaining on the sea surface and on board was almost completed.

For this reason, the Fukuoka Coast Guard and others carried out work to remove the cargo ship on the 7th.

From around 11:40 am, the Japan Coast Guard and others used a dedicated ship to pull the cargo ship from behind and pull it away from the breakwater.

The cargo ship was then moved to the quay at Central Wharf shortly after noon.

The Japan Coast Guard has decided to investigate the cause of the accident in detail on the suspicion of the danger of accidental traffic in business.
