December 6, Jishou, Hunan.

The Zhangjiajie-Jishou-Huaihua high-speed railway (referred to as Zhang-Jihuai high-speed railway) was officially opened for operation.

The Zhangjihuai high-speed rail ended the history of the lack of high-speed rail in the Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture of Hunan. It passed through Zhangjiajie Wulingyuan, Furong Town, Mengdong River, Fenghuang Ancient City and other well-known scenic spots. It is a veritable "golden tourist route".

As the regional connecting line of China's "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network, the Zhangjihuai high-speed railway connects with the Qianchang Railway in the north, and the Shanghai-Kunming High-speed Railway and Huaiheng Railway in the south, allowing western Hunan to be integrated into China's high-speed railway network.

The line has a total length of 245 kilometers and a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. There are 7 passenger stations in Zhangjiajie West, Furong Town, Guzhang West, Jishou East, Fenghuang Ancient City, Mayang West, and Huaihua South, radiating major cities in Xiangxi.

After the opening of the Zhangjihuai high-speed rail, the time and space distance of local traffic has been greatly shortened.

In the past, it took three and a half hours from Zhangjiajie to Huaihua at the fastest, but now it only takes 1 hour and 10 minutes.

The Zhangjihuai high-speed rail has 16 pairs of action trains, with an initial operating speed of 300 kilometers per hour.
