At Kitano Tenmangu Shrine in Kamigyo Ward, Kyoto City, which enshrines Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning, a large votive tablet depicting the New Year's festival is displayed at the Romon Gate every year at the end of the year.



The height is more than 2.2 meters, the width is 3.3 meters, and the weight is about 120 kg. First, 10 people including priests and palace carpenters carried the votive tablet to the tower gate.



Then I assembled the scaffolding and attached it to the front of the gate.



Next year's votive tablet "Tora" is drawn on the votive tablet, and the painter Junko Miwa, who lives in Kyoto, drew it with a glare to keep out the plague such as the new corona. is.

This votive tablet will be displayed until January 25, next year, when the first votive tablet of Kitano Tenmangu will be held.
