For the second year in a row, the pandemic puts an end to the Nobel party and the traditional Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm.

The Nobel Foundation has decided that all Nobel laureates except the Peace Prize winners, who are invited to Oslo, may receive the prizes in their home countries.

See when Abdulrazak Gurnah receives the Nobel Medal in the clip above.

For Abdulrazak Gurnah, who lives in Canterbury in England, this meant receiving a medal and diploma at the Swedish Embassy's residence in London.

It was Ambassador Mikaela Kumlin Granit who presented the award to Gurnah, who presented the medal and diploma to a small audience and news media on site.
