At Dotombori in Minami, Osaka, a demonstration experiment of tourism services looking after Corona, such as technology for recognizing facial images and making payments, will begin on the 7th.

The demonstration experiment will be conducted from the 7th in cooperation with Panasonic and the stores and facilities in the Dotombori shopping district, and 12 stores such as restaurants will introduce a payment service by "face recognition".

The user downloads the dedicated application from the QR code such as the homepage or poster in advance and registers the image of the face.

On the other hand, in stores, you can pay by simply showing your face on a tablet device and entering a dedicated code.

The image of the face can be recognized even while wearing a mask, and it is expected to have the effect of reducing contact with people.

The app also has a function to use while walking in the shopping district, and you can enjoy taking pictures using AR = augmented reality in front of tourist spots, and you can compare it with the streets of Dotombori in the Taisho era reproduced by CG. That is.

In the demonstration experiment, we will collect data such as how users went around the shopping street and use it for marketing.

Mr. Akihiko Ochi of Panasonic said, "We want to be able to provide better services while looking at the after-corona and demonstrating it firmly at this time and collecting data."

The demonstration experiment will be held until the 26th of this month.
