With a "fake arm", an Italian fraudulently obtained a vaccination certificate without being vaccinated

Officials said that an Italian man who wanted to obtain a certificate of vaccination for the Corona virus without getting the vaccine went to the health unit with a "fake arm".

This is according to the British Broadcasting Corporation "BBC".

The police were informed by the nurse that a man in his fifties had come to take the vaccination with a layer of silicone on his arm and hoping that no one would notice him.

The nurse told local media that when she lifted his sleeve, she found his skin "elastic and cool" and his skin color "very light".

The newspaper "La Repubblica" reported that after discovering the man's case, he tried to persuade the nurse to turn a blind eye.

"The case would be close to ridiculous, were it not for the fact that we are talking about a very dangerous gesture," Albert Sirio, head of the Piedmont regional government, said in a statement on Facebook.

He added, "This ploy was not acceptable given the sacrifice that our entire society paid during the pandemic, in terms of lives and social and economic cost."

La Repubblica reports that the incident may not have been the only one.

A post on Twitter showed a silicone suit, with fake arms and neck, that was on sale on Amazon for 488 euros ($470).

The tweeter wrote: "If I wear this, will anyone notice? Maybe I'll put extra clothes under the silicone to avoid the syringe from getting into my real arm."

The incident comes before the tightening of rules in Italy for those who have not been vaccinated.
