An F16 fighter at Misawa Air Base in Aomori Prefecture dumped a fuel tank during flight and made an emergency landing at Aomori Airport. The F16 took off from Aomori Airport on the afternoon of the 5th after replacing the engine. I returned to Misawa Air Base.

On the 30th of last month, one F16 fighter at Misawa Air Base in the U.S. Army was warned that the oil pressure of the engine was continuing to drop when heading for training, so two fuel tanks were placed near a residential area in Fukaura Town, Aomori Prefecture. After dumping at Aomori Airport, I made an emergency landing.

This F16 remained stopped at the tarmac at Aomori Airport, and on the 3rd, the US military removed the engine of the aircraft and replaced it with another engine for inspection.

Then, at around 3:30 pm on the 5th, I took off from Aomori Airport and landed at Misawa Air Base about 15 minutes later.

After this trouble, the U.S. military had postponed flight training for F16 at Misawa Air Base, but it resumed on the 2nd of this month, and it is regrettable that Aomori Prefecture and related local governments will resume flight without explanation of safety measures. We are strengthening the repulsion, such as showing.
