Egypt's Dar Al Iftaa: Microblading is not forbidden, unless blood comes out!

The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa commented on the use of the "microblading" technique, which has recently spread among women, and settled the controversy over its legitimacy.

Dr. Mahmoud Shalaby, Secretary of the Fatwa at Dar Al Iftaa, answering a question received by Dar Al Iftaa about the “microblading” technique, said that the technique is legally permissible, but there are some conditions that must be met while using “microblading”, and if one of them is absent, the use of this technique becomes forbidden by Sharia.

He explained that these conditions are that no blood comes out during use, and that "microblading" does not mean cheating or the like.

Shalaby pointed out that "microblading" is a pigment that is placed on the first layer of the skin, stressing that it is not considered a tattoo, because tattooing is linked to the exit of blood, but "microblading" does not come out with blood, and for this reason, when the blood comes out during the use of this technique, It is forbidden.
