Snow has fallen in abundance in recent days on the Alpine peaks.
Determined to bounce back after a blank season, some ski resorts took the opportunity to partially open their areas this weekend and share it with amateurs.
Les Contamines-Montjoie (Haute-Savoie), which records 65 cm of fresh snow at an altitude of 2,500 meters, will activate three chairlifts.
This will allow you to ski down 3 blue slopes and a red one.
They will offer an adult package of 19 euros per day and 35 euros at weekends.
Four chairlifts and 6 slopes will also be open in Grand-Bornand (Haute-Savoie) on the alpine ski area.
Only for the weekend and at the rate of 18 euros per day.
The Nordic area is open continuously from Saturday.
Masks compulsory on the chairlifts and in the queues
Same operation at the Portes du Soleil will open.
In detail, 6 ski lifts and 9 slopes will be available in Avoriaz (21 euros), 5 chairlifts will be open in Les Gets (15 euros) and 3 in Saint-Jean-d'Aulps (12 euros).
In Isère, skiers can go to Sept-Laux, Autrans, Villard-de-Lans and Lans-en-Vercors where again a small part of the area will be accessible.
Chamrousse and Alpe-d'Huez will also open on Saturday.
As a reminder, only the glacier is accessible in Deux-Alpes, and this since November 27.
Due to the health crisis, wearing a mask is compulsory from the age of 11 on the ski lifts but also in the queues.
The sanitary pass will be required for skiers over 12 years old.
