On the 2nd, a house was burnt down in Yamato City, Kanagawa Prefecture, an 82-year-old woman died, and one was found dead in the burnt remains.

Police are trying to identify the body as a man in his 70s who lives in the house.

After 5 pm on the 2nd, the fire department was notified that "a fire broke out from the kerosene heater" from the house of Mr. Toshio Aoki (95) in Yanagibashi, Yamato City.



Ten fire trucks and other vehicles went out to extinguish the fire, and the fire was extinguished after about three and a half hours, but one wooden two-story house was completely burned down.



Aoki's wife, Kiyoko (82), died in the fire, and one was found dead in the burnt remains.



The house was a couple of Aoki, his second son, and a 71-year-old man who lived with him. Aoki ran away on his own, and his second son was out.



After the fire, the man in the house was not in contact, so police are proceeding to confirm the identity of the man as if he were the man.



The site is a residential area about 1 km north of Sakuragaoka Station on the Odakyu Enoshima Line.
