As a border measure against mutant viruses, the government will, in principle, suspend new entry of foreigners from all countries and regions, and for Japanese and foreigners with status of residence who enter from 57 countries and regions. Depending on the local infection situation, we are taking "staying" measures to have the quarantine station stay in the accommodation facility designated by the quarantine station for 3 to 10 days after entering Japan.
Of the 35 countries and regions that requested a three-day stay, 17 countries and regions, such as Argentina, the Philippines, and Mongolia, where no Omicron strain was confirmed, were vaccinated. I decided to allow waiting at home on the condition that I am doing it.
The reason is that the strengthening of border measures for Omicron stocks has increased the number of countries and regions subject to detention, and it is expected that the number of people accepted at the facility will soon be exceeded.
Even if you are waiting at home, on the 3rd, 6th, and 10th days after entering Japan, you will be asked to inspect yourself using the distributed inspection kit.
These measures are applied to those who enter Japan after midnight on the 4th of Japan time.
