The students of a classroom in an Indian school were surprised by the entry of a wild leopard into the classroom to attack the students who fled in a hysterical manner.

Local authorities in Uttar Pradesh said the leopard entered Chaudhry Nihal Singh Inter College in Aligarh about 30 minutes before the morning assembly last Wednesday, according to the Times of India.

The injured student told a local channel that he saw the leopard when he entered the classroom, and the moment he got away, the animal attacked him and bit him in the arm and back.

Local officials said the student was taken to hospital, where he later recovered from his injuries.

The school authorities managed to quarantine the animal inside an empty classroom, while the students were sent home.
