  Wuhan is the central city with the largest concentration of Hong Kong businessmen and Hong Kong people.

Hong Kong is Hubei's largest source of foreign capital and an important trading partner.

From January to September this year, the total value of imports and exports of goods between Hubei and Hong Kong was US$4.13 billion, a year-on-year increase of 49.4%; the number of Hong Kong investment projects (enterprises) in Hubei was 138, a year-on-year increase of 102.94%.

In addition to traditional real estate and commercial service industries, there are also large direct investments in advanced manufacturing industries such as smart cars, biomedicine, and computer peripherals.

  At Wuhan Yaxin General Hospital, Carrie Lam visited the COVID-19 vaccination center and the spare negative pressure ward for COVID-19 patients, and communicated with the front-line anti-epidemic medical staff.

Carrie Lam said that looking forward to the future, especially in the post-epidemic era, she is optimistic about the cooperation between Hubei and Hong Kong in the field of life and health.

She said that the national "14th Five-Year Plan" outlines the goal of life and health and other cutting-edge fields, which is one of Hong Kong’s scientific research strengths. Carrie Lam said that many of the well-known stories of the Three Kingdoms took place in the land of Jingchu and are deeply loved by Hong Kong people.

At the same time, Hubei has an irreplaceable position in the history of modern Chinese revolution. Its rich historical and cultural resources can enable Hong Kong youth to learn from the past and learn the present, strengthen their sense of belonging to the nation and their centripetal force towards the motherland.
