Confessions of the accused of stealing gold stores in Kuwait: I choose sellers carefully and I prefer young people

The men of the General Department of Criminal Investigation in Kuwait referred to the Public Prosecution yesterday the one accused of stealing gold stores by evasion, as well as her expatriate partner who used to buy the stolen gold from her knowing that it was stolen with less money.

Al-Anbaa newspaper quoted a security source as saying that the accused, who is of unknown nationality (41 years), made sensational confessions, as she confirmed that she carefully selects the targeted shops, or rather chooses young sellers, and refuses to target the shops where the elderly work, i.e. those over fifty. years old.

The accused said that she used to enter the targeted stores and start talking with young sellers, as well as taking advantage of the presence of customers and opening one of the storefronts and sometimes asking for many gold coins to pretend that she is looking at them.

She explained that sometimes she would buy a piece and steal another in an overlooked manner, and other times, if she had the opportunity, she would steal without buying and leave quickly.

She stated that she was keen to put her car at a distance of no less than a kilometer and on side streets so that it would be difficult to be tracked by surveillance cameras, and she was keen to wear the niqab or put a black mask, noting that she was making exploratory tours a day before the theft and determined the shop she would target.

The accused admitted to stealing several shops in the areas of Mubarakiya, Hawalli, Fahaheel and Farwaniya, and confirmed that the expatriate who was buying gold from them knows that she is obtaining gold by illegal means, although he denied these allegations during the investigation with him.

And the Salmiya detectives, after investigations that continued for a period of time, were able to arrest the accused and arrested her partner (40 years), who works in a jewelry store in the Salmiya area.
