People moving in the city centers of Colmar, Eguisheim and Riquewihr (Haut-Rhin) will now have to wear a protective mask, even outdoors.

The measure decided by the prefecture of the department took effect this Saturday and it is for the moment scheduled until January 3, 2022, indicates Actu Haut-Rhin.

These “additional measures” were announced on Saturday.

Every day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

They are the subject of three prefectural decrees, one for each of the municipalities concerned.

The prefecture indicated that the obligation to wear a mask applies to any inhabitant aged 11 and over.

It is in force every day from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. in urban areas precisely written in official documents.

The departmental authorities saw fit to intervene "because of the deterioration of the health situation and given the expected crowds during the Christmas market period".

The incidence rate of Covid-19 in Haut-Rhin is 371 per 100,000 inhabitants.

It is the highest in the Grand-Est.
