[Explanation] Five years ago, Malaysian Chinese twin sisters Kao Siying and Wang Si'e both came to Nanning, Guangxi to study, pursuing their "Chinese dream".

Recently, the reporter approached the sisters to learn about their "North Drift" story.

  [Commentary] Wang Siying and Wang Si'e are Malaysians of Chinese descent from Fujian, China, and were born in 1997.

After graduating from high school, the two sisters planned to study in China.

After some understanding, the ethnic minorities have a colorful and beautiful natural environment in Guangxi that has attracted them.

In 2017, the two sisters came to Nanning to study in hotel management major of Guangxi Vocational and Technical College. After graduating from junior college, in order to learn more about China, in 2020, they applied for the Chinese language major of Guangxi University.

  【Explanation】Leaving hometown and coming to a strange foreign country.

At the beginning, the sisters were a little uncomfortable. In order to let the sisters integrate into the study and life here as soon as possible, the students provided enthusiastic help.

After studying in China for 5 years, the sisters used the vacation to travel to Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu, Xi'an and other cities in China. The field visits greatly deepened their understanding of China.

  At the beginning, the impression of China was not very deep, and I only saw it on the map section that it was very big.

After I came, I found that China has a very prosperous economy, stable society, rich culture, and many characteristics.

  [Explanation] In recent years, high-speed rail, mobile payment, shared bicycles, and online shopping have been talked about by many netizens, and they have even gone abroad and into the world.

This also brings a lot of convenience to the lives of the sisters.

  I didn't get used to it when I first came to China, but in the end I gradually got in touch with it and I might find it really convenient.

Compared to other countries, you may find it really convenient, because as long as a mobile phone can go anywhere, there is no need to bring any wallet or schoolbag. The mobile phone can solve a lot of things without even running. When you go to other administrative departments, you just need to operate it on your mobile phone. It is also very convenient to pay and pay for utility bills. There is no need to go there, which saves a lot of time.

  [Explanation] The sisters said that online shopping in China is good and cheap, and you can make a difference when you bring the goods back to Malaysia for sale.

Now, the sisters have become the masters of overseas shopping for relatives and friends.

The sisters told reporters that Malaysia's e-commerce is far less developed than China, and they hope to bring China's e-commerce experience back to the country in the future to prepare for subsequent entrepreneurship.

In recent years, there have been more and more cultural exchanges between Malaysia and China.

The sisters said that they hope to be a good messenger of cultural exchanges between the two countries in the future and introduce the real China to relatives and friends in Malaysia.

  My dream is to be a teacher, because our Malaysian Chinese school has fewer teachers teaching Chinese, and then I want to go back (to) my high school alma mater to teach by learning Chinese well.

Let them know that China is not as backward as they thought. There are still some people who think that China is insecure and economically backward. I want them to know that I have been to China. Friends, tell them about my own learning experience and life in China. I also encourage my classmates to come to China to study after graduation.

  [Explanation] As the only province adjacent to ASEAN countries by land and sea, Guangxi has become one of the provinces and regions where China receives the most students from ASEAN countries.

As of the end of June 2021, Guangxi has established cooperative relations with nearly 200 colleges and universities in ASEAN countries, and 16,000 students from ASEAN countries have come to Guangxi.
