The stylist who dressed Janet Jackson for the famous Super Bowl halftime concert in 2004 denies having tampered with the singer's outfit.

The star, who shared the stage with Justin Timberlake, ended up with a bare breast, the singer having ripped part of her bustier at the end of the performance.

A blunder remained in the memories under the name of Nipplegate which had cost dearly to the career of Janet Jackson and for which no one ever wanted to take responsibility.

In any case, Wayne Scot Lukas, who had made the outfit worn by the singer that evening, denies any malice on his part.

“I was hired to do a job.

I did exactly what I was supposed to do.

If I had taken it out on my friend, I wouldn't have worked with Janet for six years after the Super Bowl.

I would have been fired that day, ”he told

Infallible

But if there's one thing that still hangs in Wayne Scot Lukas' throat today, it's the attitude Justin Timberlake had when he left the stage.

“He said to me, 'It was just a little outfit failure.

We all want to give you something to think about ”.

He said that line, and then I was like, “We're not friends anymore”.

A failure of the outfit?

I do not fail.

I was a professional stylist.

Paid $ 10,000 a day at the time.

I couldn't miss it.

Why say that?

», Remembered the stylist.

Finally, Wayne Scot Lukas believes that the scandal could have been avoided if the production had cut the image in time, which was according to him entirely possible.

Last February, Justin Timberlake finally apologized to Janet Jackson in an Instagram post, admitting that he had "benefited from a system that promotes misogyny and racism."
