On the 27th, a vegetable harvesting experience was held at a farm in Miyazaki City to encourage children to become familiar with agriculture.

The experience-based event was held at "AKASAKA farm", a farm in Tano-cho, Miyazaki City, and 31 people from 1 year old to 6th graders living in Miyazaki Prefecture participated.

The children went barefoot into the fields and experienced the harvest of ginger planted in April this year.

Harvesting deep-rooted ginger is hard work for children, but the local hero "Himkaiser" rushed to cheer with a surprise, and received the hot ale, and did not give up until the end.

After that, the children moved to another field where the harvest was over, held a relay race in which vegetables were used as batons, and enjoyed the feeling of running barefoot over the soil.

A 6th grade boy said, "I think it's very nice to run around on the soil and play. The soil was very soft and fluffy."

Mr. Ryohei Nozaki, who planned the experience-based event, said, "I planned it because I wanted the children to feel closer to agriculture. I am glad that the children enjoyed it while there were few opportunities to gather at the Corona disaster." I did.
