People's Artist of Russia Alexander Gradsky died in Moscow at the age of 73. He stood at the origins of Russian rock and is one of those who popularized and brought this direction out of the underground. In his youth, Gradsky performed in the amateur rock group Skomorokhi founded by him and was engaged in solo work. Many compositions - for example, “How Young We Were”, “Once upon a Time” and “We Didn't Expect Changes” - were remembered by the audience precisely in his performance. Gradsky became the author of music for many films, including "A Romance of Lovers" by Andrei Konchalovsky; he also composed the rock operas "The Stadium" and "The Master and Margarita". In 2012, the artist first tried himself as a mentor in the vocal television show "The Voice", where he later released four winners, and in 2015 he opened his own theater.
