It is reported that this is also the strongest snowfall in Urumqi since the beginning of winter this year.
The Xinjiang Meteorological Bureau previously issued a forecast that it is expected that from November 26 to 28, there will be cold waves in the eastern part of northern Xinjiang and northern Hami City, with temperatures falling by 8 to 12°C; Urumqi and Changji Prefecture will have heavy snowfalls with a cumulative snowfall of 15 ～20mm, 12～20cm of newly added snow.
Affected by this cold wave, Xinjiang expressways, aviation, and railway travel have been affected to varying degrees.
According to the high-grade highway traffic police detachment of the Traffic Police Corps of Xinjiang Public Security Department, the G7 Beijing-Xinjiang Expressway and the southern line of the Tuwu-Daqing Expressway in Xinjiang once used police cars to pass through the road in both directions.
