In the TV series, the creators of the series have assumed that Olof Palme's killer is the so-called Skandiaman, Stig Engström.

However, the person who reported the series to JK believes that the explanation does not hold, and that Stig Engström was subjected to a character murder.

"The fact that a designation takes place in fiction has never constituted an obstacle to a conviction for libel or slander of the deceased and the same reasoning should be applied to the type of (reality" inspired ") fiction that this is about", it says in notification.

JK justifies its decision:

"The Chancellor of Justice has checked with the Swedish Press, Radio and Television Authority that there is no release certificate for Netflix.

Nor can it be assumed to be covered by protection under YGL on any other basis.

The Chancellor of Justice is thus not a competent prosecutor in this case.

The Chancellor of Justice submits the report in this part to the Public Prosecutor's Office. "

There are two registrations

In addition to slander by Stig Engström, another report has been made against Netflix and the TV series.

It is the daughter of the man described as the "weapon collector" who reported the series for defamation of the deceased on behalf of her father.

- I was not prepared for the nid portrait of my father where he is hung like an arch-pig who has bullied his friend Stig to the point that Stig finally feels compelled to have another person killed, says Ulrika Glaser Rydberg, daughter of the weapons collector.

JK has not yet taken a position on Ulrika Glaser Rydberg's report.
