The executive committee has announced that the Sapporo Snow Festival, a representative event of winter in Sapporo, will be held at the venue of Odori Park next year after being reduced in scale.

It will be the first time in two years to set up a venue and hold it.

According to the announcement, next year's "Sapporo Snow Festival" will be held for 8 days from February 5th to 12th.

The venue will not be the Susukino venue and the Tsudome venue in Higashi Ward, but only the Odori venue, but it will be smaller than usual, from Odori Park West 1-chome to West 7-chome.

We will not make heavy snow sculptures, but will make snow sculptures with a height of about 10 meters and snow sculptures that are slightly smaller than that, while we will not make small citizen snow sculptures.

In order to prevent the infection of the new coronavirus, we will not sell food, drinks, souvenirs, etc. at the venue or hold events on stage.

However, depending on the infection situation in the future, the event may be canceled.

The "Sapporo Snow Festival" was held online last year due to the influence of the new Corona, so it will be the first time in two years to set up a venue.

The executive committee says, "I would like to take proper infection control measures and attend the event."
