In preparation for the spread of infection in the future, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government has decided on new measures according to the five levels of infection status compiled by the government subcommittee.

Our policy is to promptly expand and improve the medical care provision system before the infection spreads rapidly, such as by setting a level unique to the city in the five stages and promoting the securing of beds in advance.

The capital decided on the basic concept of new coronavirus countermeasures at the countermeasures headquarters meeting held on the 25th.

According to this, measures will be taken according to the five levels of classification from "Level 0" to "Level 4", which indicate the infection status summarized by the government subcommittee.

Level 1

The current infection situation in Tokyo is "Level 1", which is said to be "stable medical treatment even if there are infected people".

Level 2

This situation worsens, and the expected bed usage rate in 3 weeks reaches about 20% of the 6891 beds, which is the maximum number of beds that can be secured in Tokyo, and the average number of new positives per week is 500. If you exceed it, consider raising it to "Level 2" where you should be more vigilant.

At "Level 2", we will take measures such as requesting a limit on the number of people at restaurants and stopping activities with a particularly high risk of infection at metropolitan schools.

City-specific level 2.5

Furthermore, between "Level 2" and "Level 3", the city has set its own "Level 2.5" based on the case where the average number of new positives per week exceeds 700.

At this stage, the city will prepare in advance to raise the maximum number of beds that can be secured in the city to 6891 beds.

In addition, at this stage, measures such as shortening business hours to restaurants and requesting a limit on the number of people will be taken as necessary, and metropolitan schools will start distributed school attendance and online learning.

Level 3

Furthermore, if the number of beds expected to be needed in 3 weeks reaches the maximum number of beds that can be secured in Tokyo, or if the bed usage rate at that time exceeds 50%, consider raising to "Level 3". increase.

At "Level 3", we will strengthen measures such as requesting restaurants to stop serving alcoholic beverages.

Level 4

If a patient needs to be hospitalized in excess of the maximum number of beds that can be secured, the most serious "level 4" is to request a restaurant to be closed, to close all metropolitan facilities, and to study online at a metropolitan school. It is supposed to be strengthened.
