With more than 45 leading brands in the world of watches, the activities of the fifth edition of "Dubai Watch Week" will be held in the Dubai International Financial Center until November 28.

The exhibition, which is held under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, presents the latest watches, especially those with special editions, in addition to many workshops and lectures that provide people with a glimpse into the history and importance of watches and how to invest in them.

In her interview with "Emirates Today", Director General of Dubai Watch Week Hind Abdel Hamid Siddiqui revealed that the Dubai Watch Week had achieved an award from "GBHG", an award similar to the Oscars in the world of watches, and presented by the jury after evaluating the work of the entity that will be awarded It has, and for this reason, been withheld for several years, explaining that it is the first time that this award has been given to an Arab entity, due to the efforts made by Watch Week in the field of this industry.

Seddiqi pointed out that the number of participants in the exhibition has increased, and the number of brands has reached 45 leading brands, in addition to the presence of five brands that have been allocated special spaces for them to tell their stories in the world of watches, noting that the number of visitors has also increased significantly in this session. The first day exceeded 1500 visitors, while the previous sessions recorded 300 visits per day.

The exhibition highlights the importance of Dubai as a leading market in the world of watches, and my friend pointed out that years ago the UAE adopted the production of special watches and limited editions, noting that there are 30 watches of limited editions displayed at the collectors’ exhibition on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the Emirates, and there are even a group of brands that launched new watches from During the Week of Watches, as well as a space for independent watchmakers who produce approximately 40 hours per year and participate in the exhibition. She indicated that they proposed with West End House, which is the first house that her grandfather began working with in Dubai, to offer an old clock, but in a new form, after updating it, along with the hours in which the number 50 was changed, so it was placed in Roman writing to distinguish it and highlight it. year 50.

Seddiqi stressed that what the exhibition holds is not limited to displaying watches, but rather offers workshops and lectures that contribute to spreading awareness about the art of watches, noting that they were keen not to limit the exhibits to expensive watches, so many watches were placed that are available to all groups at reasonable prices.
