GROUP A

FC Bruges (Belgium) - RB Leipzig (Germany) 0-5

The Franco-Congolese Christopher Nkunku offered himself a double and seems to be moving inexorably closer to a first call-up for the French team… The Ghanaian Kamal Sowah conceded a penalty.

Angolan Clinton Mata and Franco-Congolese Stanley Nsoki also struggled with FC Bruges.

Manchester City (England) - Paris Saint-Germain (France) 2-1

Algerian winger Riyad Mahrez did not score this time against PSG but he was a constant poison for the Parisian defense.

On the PSG side, the Senegalese Idrissa Gana Gueye fought with a lot of self-sacrifice in the midfield, while the Moroccan side Achraf Hakimi was especially noted by saving a ball on his line.

GROUP B

Liverpool FC (England) - FC Porto (Portugal) 2-0

Egyptian Mohamed Salah got rid of Nigerian Sanusi Zaidu to score his sixth goal for Liverpool in C1 this season.

Senegalese Sadio Mané could also have scored but his achievement was invalidated for an unclear offside.

At the other end of the field, the central hinge of the Reds formed by the Franco-Malian Ibrahima Konaté and Joël Matip displayed a certain feverishness, the Cameroonian having even almost scored against his camp.

On the Porto side, besides Sanusi, the Congolese Chancel Mbemba also had a difficult evening.

Atletico de Madrid (Spain) - AC Milan (Italy) 0-1

From a well-worked cross, the Ivorian Franck Kessié served Junior Messias for a goal and a crucial victory in the fight for second place in Group B, behind Liverpool.

Franco-Congolese Pierre Kalulu also started in the Milan ranks, while Central African Geoffrey Kondogbia made his appearance in the 81st for Atletico.

GROUP C

Besiktas (Turkey) - Ajax Amsterdam (Netherlands) 1-2

And nine goals for Sébastien Haller during the Champions League 2021-2022! How far will the Ivorian striker Ajax, who came into play against Besiktas? His two close-range recoveries were certainly not the most difficult or the most decisive (Amsterdam had already qualified at kick-off and the Turkish club eliminated). But this allowed him to join the Polish Robert Lewandowski, at the top of the scorers standings. And also to take away a little pain from his Moroccan teammate Noussair Mazraoui who caused a penalty (fault of hands) in favor of the Stambouliotes. Penalty converted by Algerian Rachid Ghezzal. Cameroonian André Onana could not stop him but the goalkeeper was nevertheless generally solid during this pleasant meeting.Meeting in which the Franco-Cameroonian Georges-Kevin Nkoudou also took part in the Besiktas camp.

Sporting Portugal (Portugal) - Borussia Dortmund (Germany) 3-1

Franco-Ivorian Dan-Axel Zagadou received a slightly unfair yellow card before conceding a penalty against Sporting from Moroccan Zouhair Feddal.

GROUP D

Inter Milan (Italy) - Shakhtior Donetsk (Ukraine) 2-0

No African has played this match.

Sheriff Tiraspol (Moldova) - Real Madrid (Spain) 0-3

The Moldovan club suffered the law of Real despite the energy of Malian Adama Traoré, that of Ghanaian Edmund Addo and the entry into play of Guinean Momo Yansané.
