More than 300 Senegalese women filed Wednesday in Dakar complaints against the president of the organizing committee of Miss Senegal whom they accuse of "apologizing for rape". Last week, Miss Senegal 2020 Ndèye Fatima Dione, 20, said she was drugged and raped in a hotel during a party to which the Organizing Committee had invited her. She claimed to have fallen pregnant and excluded from the activities of the Miss Senegal committee. Today, she is the mother of a 5 month old baby whose father she says she ignores, according to the press. The president of the organizing committee of Miss Senegal Amina Badiane then declared: "if you are raped, it is because you have sought it". Words that sparked a heated controversy. 

The L'Oréal Foundation and UNESCO unveil the winners of the 12th Sub-Saharan Africa Young Talent Prize for Women in Science.
