The late Sabreen Al-Tayeh and her daughter.

Jordanian police spokesman Colonel Louay Erzeigat announced the death of a 30-year-old woman from the town of Kafr Nima, north of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, after she was stabbed by her husband.

Sabreen's family said that what happened was a crime in every sense of the word, and that her husband killed her with premeditation.

In the details, the uncle of the late Sabreen, Juma al-Tayeh, recounted the suffering of his niece 10 years ago with her husband, who used drugs.

Al-Tayeh added that her family always urged her to get rid of her husband and ask for a divorce from him, but she refused, because of her children.

Al-Tayeh added that the night that Sabreen was killed, her husband called her and asked her to come to the house, after she was at his mother’s house, and if she did not come, he would kill her son who was with him in the house.

He pointed out that the late Sabreen rushed to the house and asked him to leave her son, and she had what she wanted, but he killed her on the spot and abused her body, according to what Juma al-Tayeh told Roya.

Al-Tayeh said that eyewitnesses and her sister and brother saw stab wounds in the veins in the neck, and bruises on different parts of her body.

The victim's family, Sabreen, demanded retribution from her husband.
