The
Spanish Agency for Food Safety and Nutrition (Aesan)
has issued a statement in which it warns people with an
allergy or intolerance to milk
of the sale of a Flora brand margarine that contains milk in its composition although it is not included in labeling.
Specifically, it is batch
129404098
of its Flora Original margarine.
Therefore, as a precautionary measure, it recommends people who have an allergy or intolerance to this food
not to consume
this product and to check if they have it at home.
The Aesan has learned of this news through the European Food Alert Network (RASFF) due to an alert notification sent by the Portuguese authorities.
It was the company itself that, in a self-monitoring process, detected the incident and reported it to the competent authorities and its clients.
The agency has also asked competent authorities in the different autonomies to verify the withdrawal of the affected products from the marketing channels.
