[Explanation] On the evening of November 22, the 2021 Guangzhou City Awarding Honorary Citizenship Conference was held in Guangzhou.
13 people who have made outstanding contributions to Guangzhou's industrial investment, scientific research and innovation, charity and public welfare, humanities exchanges, etc., were awarded badges and certificates and became a new batch of honorary citizens of Guangzhou.
[Explanation] 13 outstanding individuals who have been awarded the honorary citizenship title come from different industries and regions. Among them, several are compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan.
Chen Xinzi, who took the stage to speak, is from Hong Kong, China. He is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and has more than 120 Chinese and foreign patents. He has his own reasons for choosing Guangzhou as a city for his development.

Lian Yunzeng and Huang Shaomei are also from Hong Kong, and both have outstanding achievements in the business world.
Lian Yunzeng is the vice chairman of the World Chinese Volunteers Federation. He has invested 300 million yuan in Guangzhou and contributed 85.64 million yuan in tax revenue to Guangzhou.
Huang Shaomei's company has invested approximately RMB 26.2 billion in Guangzhou.
Talking about the achievements, both of them mentioned the role played by the investment environment of the city of Guangzhou.

Lian Yunzeng not only led the company’s employees to fight on the front line of anti-epidemic material production during the new crown pneumonia epidemic, and donated about 7.5 million yuan of medical materials to all parts of the country. He also devoted himself to promoting the economic, social and cultural aspects of Guangzhou and Hong Kong. The exchange and cooperation between the two places has organized a total of 26 exchanges and more than 2,800 person-times.
These outstanding people from Hong Kong are using their actual behavior to set a diversified example for the exchange and development between Hong Kong and the Mainland.
