With more than 3.5 million banking documents analyzed over 9 months by 5 NGOs and 19 international media, including RFI, Congo Hold-up is the largest banking data leak ever in Africa.

It shows that, from 2013 to 2019, companies owned by former Congolese President Joseph Kabila and his inner circle received at least $ 138 million in public money.

Since Friday November 19, 2021 and for two weeks, RFI reveals all the secrets of these dubious transfers.

Today, we focus on a letterbox company, the Congolese company Sud Oil - which is at the heart of all these financial movements.

Decryption by Jason Stearns, director of the GEC, the Congo Study Group, at New York University.

He answers the questions of Christophe Boisbouvier.
