To hear Kirsten Dunst, the difference in salary between her and Tobey Maguire in

Spider-Man

was far from trivial.

“The pay gap between me and Spider-Man was very extreme.

I didn't even think about it at the time.

I was just like, like, 'Oh yeah, Tobey (Maguire) is playing Spider-Man,' ”the actress explained in an interview with

The Independent

.

A disparity all the more difficult to digest as the trilogy signed Sam Raimi was a big success at the global box office between 2002 and 2007.

To give an idea, the first two films have garnered respectively 821 million and 789 million dollars worldwide.

And if the actress jokes today, she wishes to recall that her character, that of Mary Jane, the lover of Spider-Man, was not really a small role in the franchise.

No hard feelings

"Do you know who was on the second

Spider-Man

poster

 ?"

Spider-Man and ME ”, launched Kristen Dunst before approaching the news of the franchise with

Spider-Man: No Way Home

.

Recently, the actress denied the rumor that she would make an appearance in the blockbuster.

Still, she wouldn't be against making another stint in the franchise.

" I will do it.

Why not ?

It would be fun.

I will never say no to something like that.

I'll be old Mary Jane at this point with the little Spider-Man babies, ”she added.
