No more flyers lying around on the kitchen table.

Carrefour has decided to "stop the unaddressed distribution of its catalogs in Paris (75) and Lyon-Villeurbanne (69)," said the group in a press release.

This stop will take place from January 17.

This decision comes after a test in the “hypermarkets of Lille and Soyaux (Charente) since June, as well as in the Markets of Lons-le-Saunier (Jura) and Rognac (Bouches-du-Rhône) since August”.

Carrefour justifies this measure to fight "against paper waste" with a "potential savings of nearly 1,000 tonnes of paper over a year".

Before January 17, Carrefour customers have the possibility "to indicate to the brand by going to the carrefour.fr/defi-catalogue platform how they wish to receive their catalog (by email, SMS, Whatsapp)".

It will also be possible to receive the paper catalog by providing your postal address.

Ultimately, says Elodie Perthuisot, e-commerce, data, and digital transformation director, Carrefour plans to “gradually deploy this system throughout the country”.
