A little over a year ago, a 44-day war between Armenia and Azerbaijan ended around the Nagorno-Karabakh enclave, a territory as large as a French department between Baku and Yerevan. for 30 years.
Under the aegis of Russia, an end-of-conflict agreement was signed, consecrating a painful defeat for Armenia.
This agreement left many questions unanswered, and the two countries are today in a middle ground: neither war nor peace.
This week again, violent clashes erupted, causing concern even to the United Nations.

Symbol of this situation, the M2 road which crosses all Armenia, from the south near Iran to the north of the country towards Nagorno-Karabakh.
This road has become for 12 months at the same time an axis of traffic in pain, a border, and a line of contact.
"Yerevan-Baku, the road of conflict", a great report by Anissa El Jabri.
