Liu Shuyong, currently a senior researcher at Hong Kong Lingnan University and a consultant for the Hong Kong Local History Center, was once the head of the Hong Kong History Project at the Institute of Modern History of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and has been engaged in Hong Kong history research for nearly 40 years.
