While the first districts are already colored dark purple on the map of Germany by the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), one district in southwest Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania still stands out in gray: There seem to be no further new infections in Ludwigslust-Parchim.

A zero is displayed as the incidence value.

However, as the surrounding 7-day incidences from 71 to 280 suggest, this number is not correct: As the district reports on its website, the actual 7-day incidence is acute at 212.9 and the hospitalization rate to 7.1.

The fact that the RKI does not receive any figures automatically is due to the fact that there was a hacker attack on October 15.

Therefore, the most important figures would only be available on the district's own homepage: “Due to the current situation after an IT attack, currently only in the areas of 7-day incidence hospitalization, new infections, total confirmed cases and inpatients / of them ITS updates are made. "

Due to the cyber attack, all systems at the municipal IT service provider KSM / SIS were shut down as a precaution.

The attack apparently affected several municipalities, but not to the same extent.

They are now working “at full speed to rectify the failure”.
