With the season of the brand mackerel "Kinka Saba" in Ishinomaki, Miyagi Prefecture, more than 1000 tons were landed on the 16th, and the fish market in the city was full of energy.

"Kinka mackerel" is a large chub mackerel that can be taken in the sea area around Mt. Kinka after autumn, and the one with good fat riding is branded and sold by Ishinomaki Fish Market.

On the 15th, the fish market declared the arrival of the season for "Kinka mackerel", and on the morning of the 16th, about 1100 tons of chub mackerel were landed from 16 boats that had finished fishing off the coast of Miyagi prefecture.

Some of them weighed about 800 grams, and some of them were particularly large, and the middlemen were bidding while comparing the freshness and size.

On the 16th, it was traded at the same level as usual, from 86 yen to 185 yen per kilo.

According to the Ishinomaki Fish Market, chub mackerel is usually taken off the coast of Aomori prefecture and off the coast of Iwate prefecture, and gradually descends to the south. It also means that the amount of landing may be reduced.

Shigeki Sasaki, president of Ishinomaki Fish Market, said, "I'm glad to see the lively market with many boats landing. I'm worried about the future, but it's about 30,000 tons, which is about 3 billion yen in value. I'm looking forward to landing. "

The landing of "Kinka Saba" will continue until around February next year.
